Start the summer holidays with a bang at Gosport’s Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower. Have a noisy and fun day out with kids by competing, launching rockets and do it yourself explosions on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of July. The children's science activity will keep all visitors entertained.
This weekend they will be celebrating the start of the school holidays by hosting action-packed family fun days. On Saturday and Sunday there will be plenty to see and do including build your own torpedo, playing giant ‘battleships’ and many more activities involving missiles, rockets and explosions.
The museum provides an entertaining and educational experience looking at the development of naval armaments from gunpowder to the Exocet missile. It explores the 18th century origins of Priddy’s Hard and its historic buildings.
If you like Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyards, then Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower will be right up your street. Also, visitors to Portsmouth Historic Dockyards between July 11 and September 4 can take advantage of the ‘big ticket’, which gets them entrance to Explosion, Museum of Naval Firepower and the Royal Navy Submarine Museum for just £2 more.
